At Brunswick Organic Nursery the main site land has been worked organically for more than 25 years and, since taking over the site in 1992, we have continued that tradition. We also have several greenhouses and polytunnels, which allow us to grow a wider range of vegetables over a longer season.
We have several buildings housing the craft workshop, office, small caretakers flat, mess room and potting shed, these were funded by the National Lottery. Currently our shop is housed in a large donated Portacabin but we plan to address this with fundraising over the next year or so.
We have recently taken over the archbishop's walled gardens. After two years hard work they are now starting to produce vegetables and are registered by the Soil Association as land under conversion.
We have also managed to convert one of the old boiler houses in to a suitable base for our workers in the garden.
